Jeffrey Brown, a former student at the University of Wisconsin, is facing two felony charges following an incident at the university’s Gaza solidarity encampment that led to an arrest by the Madison Police Department.
When the Madison Police Department, in coordination with campus police, were dismantling the illegal tent encampment, Brown allegedly assaulted a police officer, pulling her to the ground and attempting to take her wooden baton.
Detectives later confronted Brown at his apartment, armed with probable cause for his arrest on charges of battery. Brown refused to cooperate, shutting his door in their faces.
This blatant disregard for law and order calls for immediate and decisive action.
